For patients
Booking an appointment is simple. Call the practice on (02) 8964 8619 and our friendly reception team will find a suitable time with the right specialist for your needs. Bookings are made by phone, not online, so we can confirm your referral, answer your questions and explain any costs before your visit.
To make your first appointment as smooth as possible, please bring the following with you:
- Your current GP referral
- Your Medicare card
- Your private health insurance details (if applicable)
- A list of your current medications
- Any previous results or reports relevant to your condition
A GP referral is required
You'll need a current referral from your GP before we can book your appointment. This lets our specialists tailor your care and ensures you can claim your Medicare rebate.
Fees & Medicare rebates
Medicare rebates apply to specialist consultations and procedures when you have a valid GP referral. Fees vary depending on the doctor you see, the procedure performed and your health fund, so the exact cost is different for every patient. The anaesthetist bills separately for their part of your care, and any hospital or facility fee may be covered by your private health insurance.
We believe in no surprises: all costs are explained clearly when you book, so you'll know what to expect before your appointment.
| What | How it's billed |
|---|---|
| Specialist consultation | Medicare rebate applies |
| Procedure (e.g. colonoscopy) | Medicare rebate applies; any gap advised on booking |
| Anaesthetist | Billed separately by the anaesthetist |
| Hospital / facility fee | May be covered by private health insurance |
For an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs, please phone us on (02) 8964 8619 — we're happy to talk you through it.
